Free for personal and academic research.
Arete is free — no trials, no watermarks, no artificial limits — for students, independent researchers, academics, and educators. Voluntary contributions to Astroncia help keep the platform independent and pay for hosting, storage, and scientific search infrastructure.
Contribute by email
We keep contributions deliberate and personal. Write to us and we will send back a secure payment link or an invoice, whichever suits you. Any amount is welcome — one‑time, monthly, or on behalf of a lab or department.
Contributions are voluntary and do not unlock any additional features. The full workspace is free for everyone.
What contributions pay for
Cloud hosting for manuscripts and datasets; scientific search infrastructure across Crossref, OpenAlex, arXiv, and NASA ADS; open‑access APIs for literature discovery; and continued design and engineering work on the platform.
Institutions
Universities, laboratories, and departments who want to sponsor institutional access, shared storage, or private deployments can reach us at the same address.
